How do I get the key on an Excel Geographical Map Chart to show more than 20 values in the key?

I have a map chart in Excel (2024) with quite a diverse amount of data, like in the following image:

The key on the right only shows the first 20 values in the dataset. I have more than 20 different unique values.

How do I get it to show all the values?

One workaround to this issue is to map the legend separately.

  1. Insert an extra helper column with the same data as your Legend (this can just be =[@Column].
  2. Select your Value and Helper Columns and then insert a pie chart.
  3. Hide everything except the legend from the pie chart.
  4. Hide the legend on the map chart, and place your pie chart legend ontop.

Format it how you like.
