Newark Terminal C Questions

Newark Terminal C Questions

It is my understanding (from Google) that Newark (KEWR) Terminal C:

  1. has its own dedicated TSA checkpoint
  2. no other checkpoints are connected to Terminal C
  3. all passengers are flying on United Airlines aircraft

I realize that AI is not perfect and I would appreciate responses indicating:

  • if you have departed from EWR Terminal C

  • confirmation of statements [1. 2. 3. ] are true / false.

Thank you

Top Answer/Comment:

Newark Terminal C is dedicated to United Airlines, and only their flights depart from that terminal.

Each terminal has its own security checkpoints which lead into the relevant terminals (A, B and C). However there is an airside shuttle that connects the 3 terminals, so it is possible to clear security in one terminal and then use the bus to travel to another terminal. Thus whilst all passengers departing Terminal C will be flying United airlines, it's possible for other passengers to enter security there and catch the shuttle to terminal A/B, although this would not be normally done.

If your plan is to try and avoid delays at Terminal C by entering through another terminal, then it's almost certainly not worth it. Even if the queues at the other terminals are shorter, the additional time to get between terminals on the bus will negate any benefits.
