About bitcoin taproot mutual satisfaction clause
Book mastering bitcoin 3rd edition, page 179.

In MAST and with scriptless multisignatures, a mutual satisfaction clause is easy
to design. We simply make one of the top leaves of the script tree a scriptless multi
signature between all interested parties. We already saw a complex contract between
several parties with a simple mutual satisfaction clause in Figure 7-7. We could
make that more optimized by switching from scripted multisignature to scriptless
multisignature.
What is the mutual satisfaction clause in Figure 7-7? thanks.
Top Answer/Comment:
Mutual satisfaction is a term that describes contract outcomes that all parties accept. There are three parties to the contract and a facilitating lawyer in this example. In this case, the mutually satisfactory outcomes are:
- First leaf: 2-of-3 participants can spend together
- Second leaf: After 30 days have passed, Lawyer can sign off on spend by single participant
- Third leaf: After 90 days have passed, Lawyer can move funds unilaterally to execute contract
- Key path: Usually P2TR outputs encode the keypath as "everyone agrees" on basis of a MuSig2 aggregate public key. If that’s the case in this example, this would offer a more economic and private spending option if 3-of-3 participants agree
